If You’re Not Okay

This page is here if you’re in crisis, feeling unsafe, or simply don’t know what else to do. You don’t need to go through this alone.

This page is here if you’re in crisis, feeling unsafe, or simply don’t know what else to do. You don’t need to go through this alone.

If you are at risk of harming yourself or someone else:

Please seek help immediately by contacting emergency services or one of the following support lines:

SADAG Suicide Crisis Helpline
0800 567 567

Lifeline 24-hour Counselling
0861 322 322

Akeso Psychiatric Response Unit
0861 435 787

If you’re struggling to stay safe:

  • Make a short-term safety plan. Choose one small thing you can do now: like drinking water, changing rooms, or calling a friend.

  • If you are at risk of self-injury, remove access to anything that could hurt you and delay action.

  • Urge tends to rise and fall. Not acting on it is already a form of strength.

  • Try grounding techniques: run cool water over your hands, name 5 things you can see, press your feet gently into the floor.
